tey State Hospital Wednesday.

proved after a week’s illness.

short circuit caused the fire and

The bride-elect is a graduate
of Summerville High School and

j going to Chattanooga last year
to become associated with the
International Harvester Com
pany.
Mr. Brothers is the son of Mrs.
N. L. Brothers of Chattanooga.
He is a graduate of Central High
School and has been employed
at the International Harvester
Company for the past two years.
After a wedding trip to points
south, the young couple will be
at home at 1601 Chamberlain
j Avenue, Chattanooga.
Lyerly Plans For
Commencement
The Lyerly senior class is now
finishing plans for its com
mencement this week-end and
Monday night of next week.
I Senior class night will be Fri
day night, May 16. The program
will consist of class history, last
will and testament, poem, and
prophecy. The high school an
nual will also be on sale at that
time.
The baccalaureate sermon will
be delivered by Rev. Paul Simon,
of the Christian Church, at 11 I
o’clock, Sunday morning, May ;
18. All churches will vacate at
that hour so as to allow its mem
bers to attend the service.
Monday night. May 19, at 8
o’clock, the commencement ad
dress will be delivered by Supt.
John Warr, of the Floyd County
school system.
The seniors plan to go to St.
Simon’s Island May 23 for a
week of recreation. Mrs. Thom
as and Mr. and Mrs. Dickey will
go with them.
