Vacation Reading Club
Hi! Wippee! The summer
round-up has started. The cow
boys are waiting in the library
for all the boys and girls who
want to ride herd on some books
while school is out. Have you
heard about it? Well, here are
the plans.
When you begin reading this i
summer, whether you get your
books rom the library in the
courthouse or off the Bookmo
bile, you will have a “cowboy” |
named for you. Every book you.
read will add a lasso to this cow
boy’s arm and when he has 10
lassos he will get his spurs. When
you have read 25 books he will
win his horse. Cowboys are real
ly going to ride this summer in
Chattooga County.
THE SUMMERVILLE NEWS: SUMMERVILLE, GA
At the end of the summer,
about Aug. 15, the records will be
sent to Atlanta and reading cer
tificates will be prepared for all
who read the necessary books.
This is your chance to have fun
this summer and to do some
thing that will be a help with
your school work next year, all
at the same time.
Come to the library in the
courthouse right away and get
your name in the corral. If you
live out of town, watch for the
Bookmobile schedule in an early
paper and meet it at the nearest
stop to you. If the Bookmobile
does not stop near you now, let
us know so we can arrange a stop
that will be convenient. The
week the Bookmobile is due in
this county is June 16-20. The
