The bride was a member of the
1947 graduating class of Sum
merville High School.
The groom entered the army
following his graduation from
Summerville High School in 1946
and was recently discharged.
The couple is residing in Lake
land, Fla.

CHESTER MAE HUDGINS
DIES OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS
Chester Mae Hudgins, Ne
gro. who was wounded last
week in Holland by a gunshot
wound allegedly fired by her
husband. John Henry Hudgins,
died Saturday morning at 11:25
at the Summerville - Trion
Hospital. Her husband is now
charged with her death and is
under arrest in the county
jail.

riage of their daughter, Louise,
to Willard Brown, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Clifford Brown, of Trion.

The bride attended Menlo
High School and Young Harris
College and has been an active

Two 4-H Club Girls at
State Wildlife Camp
Joyce Hamby and Violet Ham- j
by are off to state 4-H Club Wild
Life Camp at Camp Wahsega
this week. This camp is held
each year and 10 4-H club mem
bers from each extension district
are given part scholarship to
this camp.
Joyce and Violet won this
scholarship by their 4-H Club
record in wildlife conservation. ;
This camp is for the purpose of
teaching 4-H Club members j
leadership, and gives an oppor
tunity acquiring practical knowl
edge and understanding of car
rying out a wildlife project.
