District No. 5, by reason of the
death of H. B. Hix on January
Sth, 1948; now therefore, under
the authority contained in Geor
gia Laws 1933, page 441, and
the provisions of Section 23-922,
34-2601, 34-2603, 34-2101, 34-1701
and 34-1702 of the Code of
Georgia:
It is hereby ordered and di
rected that a special election for
the office of Commissioner of
Roads and Revenue for road Dis
tr’ct No. 5, which is comprised
of the territory embraced within
the Dirttown, Subligna and Hay
wood Militia Districts, the same
being the 940th, 962nd and
1382nd Districts. G. M., Chat
tooga County, Georgia, respec
tively, be held, and the same is
hereby called to be held on the
14th day of February, 1948. It
is further ordered and directed
that the closing date for an
nouncing candidacy for said of
fice shall be at 12:00 o’clock
noon on the 3rd day of February,
