Berrytosi Message
The hungry ass, the lowing ox.
Job 6-5. Doth the wild ass bray
when he hath grass, or loweth
the ox over his fowder.
How would you answer Jobs
question? I think a braying ass is
one that has no grass, and a low
ing ox is one that hath no fowder.
When the animals make a noise
is when they are hungry. Feed
them and stop the noise. So with
a good church pastor who feeds
his flock from the pulpit the real
truth they can’t afford to blate
about the truth if they are good
sheep. Os course a billy goat is
■ never satisfied. He can eat bitter
weeds and keep going as well.
Pastor, if you want your members
, to stay with you curr them good
and feed them plenty and they
won’t be looking for other pas
tors. Study your Bible and pray.
God can give you the very best
sermons of the Bible and make
you a new pastor every Sunday
morning by giving you a new
subject. Then your church can |
rejoice. But a lazy preacher who
can’t take time to study and pray
a little along, how can God give
■to him that hath not, when his
liking is filled with lazy bones?
You can build your fence as
■ high as you wish to, but- if you
‘ don’t feed your sheep, they will
escape for better food. Try your
flock out by hanging their heels
up to a scaffel and see how many
. of them will blate. The goats will |
bear their name by blating. The I
i sheep will bear their name by I
silence.
For backing this kind of work
send all offerings to Rev. Howard
Finster, Trion. Ga., and come to
the Berryton Baptist Church
each Sunday and to Chesterfield
i each Sunday at 2 p. m. We are
heard over WGWD Gadsden each
Saturday morning 10 o’clock
Georgia time, (adv.)
