Proverbs-24-9: The thought of
! foolishness is sin, and the scorn
er is an abomination to men.
What does foolishness amount
to? How many jokes and funny
tales did the deciples tell? How
many foolish gags will you find
in the Bible? Do you carry on
these foolish conversations to
hold your friends, or to hold a
I few members in your Church?
I Are we going to let our members
j and foolish jokes lead us by the
j nose, or will we lead our mem
bers from the foolish jokes and
| let them know we have no time
for such sin?
Preachers let us lead the world
instead of letting them lead us.
What is Christ like? Jokes and
fables are not Christ like but
1 they are the devil’s playhouse, to
I the wrong reminder. Yes I be
lieve God has your number and
also the door key to your heart
when will you let him open up
your account and let you see your
account and let you see your rec
ord? Will you be caught with a
mouth full of dirty old jokes
when God calls for you? Be ready
to meet God at all times, for the
I hour when ye think not the son
of man cometh, 1-Timothey 1-4;
Neither give heed to fables, 2
Tim. 4-4; And they shall turn
away their ears from the truth,
and shall turn to fables, also,
Titus 1-14; and Peter 1-16; and
then, how much time you have
for foolishness? Preachers can
find tithing in the Bible, but why
can’t they find out too what is
the duty of us standing out
against foolishness.
Let our streets, let our homes
let our Churches be free from
nasty jokes and tales and fables.
Come to our church at Berry
ton each Sunday and to Chester
terfield Baptist Church, 2 p. m.
Alabama time. We are heard over
IWGWD Gadsden station each
Saturday 10:00 a. m., Georgia
time. Send all offerings to Rev.
Howard Finster, Trion, Ga. (adv)
Here’s a centerpiece with a re
; freshing look. Chunks of dry ice
I in a low bowl with a little water
in it produce a cool, misty vapor.
Add a figurine encircled with
, flower-studded fern or greenery.
White, woven cellophane table
mats with clear crystal or milk
glass dishes add to the table’s
crisp cool effect.
