Dear Santa:
I am a little boy seven years
old. I am a good little boy. I am
in the second grade at school.
Would you please bring me a
machine gun, Doctor’s set and
plenty of candy, nuts, fruits of
all kinds and bring my cousin a
22 rifle and don’t forget all the
other little boys and girls

I go to Lyerly School. I’m in the
3rd grade. Miss Nell Lee is my
teacher, I love her very much. I
help mother when I come home
from school.
Now I will tell you what I want
for Christmas.
Will you please bring me a
Betsy-Wetsy doll, with suit-case
and clothes and a book satchel
and fruit, nuts and candy. I like
story books too. If you can spare
me one.
I am going up to my grand
mother Chapman's on Christmas
eve nite and go to the Christmas
tree up there and I do hope you
are there again this year.
I am going to be in Summer
ville on Xmas eve day and I hope
you can be there this year. The
streets are all decorated and it’s
so pretty.
When you come by my home
Christmas eve nite will you
please leave my things under my
Xmas tree. It will be in the same
place. If you have time look
around and you will find my
little candy Xmas tree. Don’t
foget to get you some cake and
candy too if you like it.
