BERRYTON NEWS Those attending the funeral of Mrs. Julius Vaughn Sunday in Lyerly were: Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Williams, Miss Genie Sim mons, Miss Mary Jean Hickey, Mrs. Henderson Powder, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Rosser, Mr. and Mrs. John Rosser, Miss Hilda Rosser and Mr. and Mrs. John Baggett. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Gil breath and family were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mull Sunday. Miss Mary Jean Hickey was the guest Saturday and Sunday night of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Wil liams. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Hamlett and daughter, of Columbus, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Edwards. Mrs. Richard Edwards was the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe White this week-end. Mrs. Herbert Wesson, Sewell Dendy, Miss LUly Dendy, Mrs. Shorty Cash and Mrs. Frank Thomason visited their brother, Dan Dendy at the Georgia Bap tist Hopsital in Atlanta Sunday. Mr. Dendy is slowly improving. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Willing ham, Peggy Willingham, Mrs. W. L. Willingham, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pickle, of Summerville, spent Sunday in Cedartown. Mr. and Mrs. Ollie visited in Alabama Sunday. Don Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Cox has joined the Navy and is stationed at San Diego, Calif. Don graduated at Sum merville High School with the class of 1948. His only sister is Miss Sally Cox. Mrs. Leroy Chapman is spend ing three months in Seattle, Wash., with her husband, who is in the Navy stationed there. Youngblood was called to Athens Saturday on account of the critical illness and death of his brother, John Young blood. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Corn er, of Atlanta, spent the week end with their sisters, Mrs. Bish op Koonce, Mrs. Frank Reece and Mrs. Dewitt Youngblood. Miss Mildred Center, of Greensboro, and Georgia State College for Women spent the week-end with Miss Mary Mea dows. Mrs. Ben Powell, of Chicka mauga, was the week-end guftlst in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Olney Meadows. Mrs. Henry Brown, of Way side, spent last week here with her daughter, Mrs. Grady Coth ran Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rosser and Paulette spent the week-end I with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. !c. M. Bryan, of Perryville. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Booker have moved to Columbus where Mr. Booker will be with the Algernon Blair Construction 00. Mrs. Cicero Pledger and her daughter were luncheon guests of Mrs. J. H. Booker Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Westbrooks visited their daughter, Mrs. Roy Harris in Trion Sunaay. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McGraw are welcoming them to Berryton again. Mr. and Mrs. McGraw and family were guests of Mrs. Shave Parker in Sunday, the occasion being a birthday din ner. Mrs. Alice Tucker and Miss Louise Tucker were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tucker Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Wilson, Mil dred and Marie Wilson spent Sunday visiting friends in Dirt town. Oscar Dendy and Mil ton Reynolds were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Reynlods in Tifton. Mrs. Alice Tucker, Miss Louise Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Tucker have recently moved in to their attractive new home in Happy Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cohen have returned to their home here from Huntsville, Ala., where they were guests for a week of their daughter and son, Mr. and Mrs. Hobart. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Helton spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Chasteen and fami ly on the Summerville -Lyerly Road. Mr. and Mrs. James Crabtree ' and children, of Boston, are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crabtree. Willie Whitley, of Summer ville, was a visitor in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Early Hutchins.
