turned to Montgomery, Ala.,
where he is stationed in the U.
S. Army after a visit with his

Hughes.

glad to know that he is improv
ing from a severe illness.

luth, is spending the summer

ed home after a visit with her

Church in June.

June 26 Is homecoming day at
the Congregational Holiness
Church at Lyerly, there will be
singing ad preaching through
out the day. Everybody Is wel
come to attend. Also, a revival
will start that night at this
church. The Rev. Archie Gardn
er and the Rev. Cecil Tompkins
of Jacksonville. Ala., will do the
preaching.

trip to Montevallo, Ala., Wed
nesday, returning Saturday,
where she carried a group of
F. H. A. girls. One of the group
Elouise Jackson, won in the
County Beauty Contest and
competed and won state prize.
She is now going to Memphis
to compete there. Mrs. Cavin ac
companied her as far as Chatta
nooga Sunday afternoon.
Miss Jackson is the daughter
of, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Jackson,
of Jamestown and a student of
Gaylesville High School.
