SUBLIGNA NEWS
The Rev. J. F. Gladney filled
his regular appointment at the
Subligna Methodist Church
Sunday. He announced that re
vival services will begin there on
Sunday, August 21. The Rev.
Charles P. Hamilton, of Atlanta
will be guest speaker for the
revival. The Rev. Mr. Hamilton
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Hamilton. Everyone is invited
to attend these services.
There will be a homecoming
at the Baptist Church on Sun
day, August 7. A change in the
date has been made. The home
coming will be on the first Sun
day instead of the regular 4th
Sunday, and revival services will
begin on that day. The Rev. G.
C. Schroeder will have charge of
the services and will bring the
message. Everyone has a cordial
invitation.
The Vacation Bible School,
wliich closed on Friday, was a
great success. There was an
average attendance for the first
three days of 38. During the 2nd
week, which was a full week,
the average attendance was 48.
Sixty children were present Fri
day. Members of the faculty and
the pupils express deep appreci
ation to the Rev. George
Schroeder for his splendid lead
ership.
School is scheduled to start
Monday, July 25, at Subligna

new principal, Mr. Stewart, of
Rossville.
The W. M. U. met on Wednes
day of last week with Mrs. T. J.
White. Eleven were present. The
Rev. and Mrs. George Schroe
der, of Gore, were present for
the meeting. The Methodists
gave the program and Mrs. J.
F. Gladney had charge of the
Bible Quiz.
After the meeting a social hour
was enjoyed, during which the
hostess served refreshments.
