have been carried to the home

Harris, at Ringgold. Mr. Laster
was quite ill at the time of their
going and Mrs. Laster was just
recovering from a severe illness.
Mrs. W. D. Longley remains
quite ill at her home here.
Mrs. Doc Whitt is in a Rome
hospital for treatment this

that their brother, Will Curbow,
died. Mr. Curbow had made
his home in New York for a
number of years, having been
connected with a stage show.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fergu
son and family, of Tucson, Ariz.,
arrived Tuesday to spend two
weeks with Mrs. Ferguson’s
mother, Mrs. J. S. Majors.

Miss JoAnn Barry, bride-elect
of Martin Blalock, was enter
tained at a shower-tea Satur
day afternoon by members of
the Young Ladies’ Sunday School
class of the Menlo Baptist
Church. The affair was held at
the home of Mrs. Rob King.
The young honoree wore a gay
multi-colored dress with white
accessories.
Many of her friends called in
the afternoon, to view the many
lovely gifts which had been sent
earlier.
