Berryion Message
Word-Lost — Jeremiah 50:6
My people hath been lost sheep:
Their shepherd have caused
them to go astray they have
turned them away on the moun
tains they have gone from
mountain to hill, they have for
gotton their resting place.”
Beloved, a lost sheep is a piti
ful animal. Can’t you see him
when he holds his head high |
and begins to blate, and listen '
for an answer but none is heard? :
He drops his head as though,
he were beginning to eat, but I
just a blade of grass hangs in
the corner of bis mouth. He
walks willingly, turning his head
each way, seeking for the rest
ing place, but looking doubt
ful.
Beloved how would you feel if
you could take the lost sheep
up aud gently ^ad him to his
own flock and see him happy
once more. You would feel good.
So it is the poor lost blind sin
ner. who Is staggering from the
resting place of eternity.
Would you like to help him to
know there is u living Christ
a helping friend who will save I
your soul from a burning hell? |
Beloved, are you willing to climb
out on the mountain to help
save the lost, so to apeak? Are
you willing to step into a whisky
den where the family consists
of little children and try to lead
them to Christ? Are you willing’
to speak to some woman who is
of a low character and tell her,
of the blessed saving grace of
God? A real good shepherd
surely will not turn his sheep
Into the wilds of the mountain.
That Is to say a good preacher
will not Just let his members do
anything they want to that is
wrong and not tell them of it.
Let every leader or preacher be I
sure to warn his flock against;
sin, for when sin is finished it
bringeth forth death. If you foil,
to warn your listeners of sin you '
may be guilty of their blood.
