You Will Meet Me Some Day
St. Luke. 6-22 “Blessed are ye
when men shall hate you, and
when they shall seperate you
from their company, and shall
reproach you and cast out your
name as evil. For the Son of
Man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that
day, and leap for joy. For be
hold your reward is great in
heaven.”
Beloved, it seems hard to love
men that hate you. But God can
fix your heart to do so. It seems
hard to love men that by envy
separate themselves from you
when you have tried to be their
friend. It is hard when you have
spoken well of other men, and
then they speak evil of you. It
seems hard when you know you
are a clean Christian, and then
be accused of falsehood. But
thanks be to God, when we meet
before God, we will not have to
speak for ourselves but our
works speak for us, as our works
will follow after us, and when
God speaks and bids us “Enter
in, thou good and faithful serv
ants,” then what are you going
to say about us?
Yes. here in this world, you
may speak evil of us; you may
say you have no confidence in
us; you may ca’l us fools and
hyprocrits; you may hurt our in
fluence; you may condemn our
poor weak efforts; you may
stand against our life; you may
cause us to lose sleep and grieve;
but how are you going to feel
when you and I stand before
God together, and you see my
record clear and hear Him teil
me to enter, and you see that my
life is clean? You see that you
took me wrong. You said things
. about me that were not so. Your
idea of me was that I was
j wrong.
But the Lord stands in judge
ment and clears me. according
tn His blessed word. Then what
are you going to do? How can
you stand against God. In this
world you took me wrong, in
judgement you found me right,
wnn von bav* time to get for
giveness of those things at the
Judgement’ By the grace of God
let us judge not others, except
by the fruits we shall know
them. If you hold malice In your
heart by what you hear, and not
by what you know you are weak,
you are in danger, you are not
righteous.
