The Rev. Bennie Bowman, of
Ringgold, filled his regular ap
pointment at the church Sun
day and ^Sunday night.
A joint B. T. U. social and
birthday party were held at the
heme of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin
Grigsby Saturday night. It was
Billy Bowman’s 9th birthday.
Fifty-two guests were present
and several nice presents were
received. Mae Grigsby is Billy's
teacher at Baptist Training
Union.

Clark Carpenter returned
home Saturday night after a
week’s visit with Billy Bowman
at Ringgold. He also visited Mt.
Pisgah school.

the social at Mr. and Mrs. Mar
vin Grigsby’s Saturday night.

Virgil Tate U. S. A. Army, of
Tokyo, Japan, is home on a 60-
day leave and will report back to
Texas in December. He spent
Tuesday night with Mr. and Mrs.
Billy Tate and Brenda on Dicks-
Creek.

Brenda spent Thursday with Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Tate and Wayne
at Subligna.
Menafay and Maggie Petty
john spent last week with their
sisters. Mrs. Charles Grasham

Valley Fair Thursday night.
Sympathy goes to the family
of Mrs. Lizzie Mathis who passed
away Tuesday night at her home
on Sand Mountain.

be glad to know she has im
proved of her serious injuries re
ceived in a car accident and has
been removed from Erlanger
Hospital to her home at Lake
view.

Mrs. Billy Tate, and Brenda.
Mr. and Mrs. Reese Tudor,
Frances. J. W. and Winnona, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Townsell and
Janice were sightseeing in At
lanta Sunday. They visited Mr.
and Mrs. Crick Smith and Billy

returned with them for a week’s
