Berryion Message
THE MURDERER
St. John 3-15: “Whosoever
hateth his brother is a murder
er: and ye know that no murder
er hath eternal life abiding in
him, hereby perceive we the love
of God because He laid down
His life for us, and we ought to
lay down our lives for the
brethern.”
Beloved, who is the murderer?
Just think, if you hate your
brother you are a murderer.
There is one thing you must
consider, you are the one who
loves or hates your brother, you
cannot hate and love your
brother all at the same time. It
sis love or hate. How about it?
Do you love your brother? If
j so, will you love him and then
j work against him all at the
I same time? No, that doesn’t
[ work.
If you love your brother, you
will speak well of him when
you are talking to his back. You
will speak well of him when you
are talking to his back you will
will do him good and not bad.
You will seek to help him from
his trouble instead of setting an
other load on his shoulders.
It may be possible there are
many murderers who do not
carry guns or knives but from
the end of a poison tongue they
slash a poor humble heart who
is striving with fear and preay
er.
My heart is burdened for any
My heart is burdened for any
soul-slasher, who will not bear
I for the weak. If our Lord lay
i down His life for us, then how
much more ought we to lay
down our lives for our brothers.
Then too, we should even love
the soul of our enemies enough
to bear with their unkind sling
and malice.
I pray and seek the time when
I can find my enemy in trouble
and lay if it were my hand,
under his head, and lift him
from his misery and prove to
him that I love him in Christ
Jesus.
If our Lord asks forgiveness
for the ones that crucified Him
why shouldn't we pray for our
I enemies?
I want to say thank God for
ever, for my blessed Saviour,
' glory. I want to cry aloud to His
name. I will preach for Rev.
Elmer Ledbetter, at Chelsea
Sunday evening at 3 o’clock at
i the Baptist Church. We will be
(preaching this Friday night at
Bud Kirby's, near Mill Creek
Church. I am heard each Sun
