Berryion Message
GOOD THINGS—USED WRONG
St. John 1-3, "All things were
made by Him, and without Him .
was not anything made that was
j made.”
Beloved friends, the 1950 auto- ■
[mobiles were when God put the
[iron in the mountains and the :
crude oil in the earth and the <
rubber trees in the land. Friends, :
what I am trying to say to you [ ।
is that God made all things in ]
■ creating the existing things, and [
man has gathered from God’s ■
creation and made wonderful [ I
things. But it seems that the j
■ evil powers have taken control [ •
[of the important inventions. [:
Com and rye were created for ■i
foods, but man has distilled it [ 1
into alcohol. Well, alcohol is still ■
useful to preserve flavors and ;
.drugs and for disenfectant and ;
[first aid; but people have used it ■;
|to drink and to shorten lives, to
[cause wrecks, to cause murders, 1 1
[ to cause hunger, to cause fuss, to ■
cause fights. Also automobiles
are wonderful to doctors, to [
[ministers, to undertakers, for [:
[farm use, to pleasure consumers. [
But in spite of its beauty, evil
[ processors control the automo
[bile to bootleg whiskey, to ride
[ young ladies into destruction, to [
[rob banks, to bootleg dope, to
[ haul drunks from one beer den i
[to another. Then the swimming [
[pool is a nice luxury for people, I
■ but the devil seems to say don’t [
[ have a pool for the males and fe- !
males, but just have one pool 1
■ and let all the boys and girls [
swim together and the preachers
[ and the sacred people will be left
[ out. Yes, that’s right. A real good [
sacred Christian had rather ■
, have the pool separated, one side
, [ for men and other side for
women. But the evil rules, as an
.[average in public luxury. Then
[ the movies. They are a grand '
' । thing. That is. a real moving
picture on agriculture, or a
moving picture on the Bible, are
[quick ways of teaching people.
But the devil or, evil minds,
[take control and show pictures
[that are damable, and disgrace
! ful, to sin suckers that are biting
for the bait of hell catchers.
It’s a pity that sin and dis- [
. [ grace are so rare in our public [
[theaters, until a minister of a [
[moral citizen can’t attend them. [
The television is grand, but the
[devil has grabbed it and is using
[it already. People can lie in the
bed, and prop up on the pillow
[ and look on disgraceful scenes,
that even deny covering or
I cloths. The cowhided devil has
, his hand on the steering wheel.
. [ and his foot on the throttle now.
But if he only knew it, he is
just a hell driver, and with the
rich man will lift up his eyes.
[Then God will give His people
[the right to enter the mansions
[of liberty where hell drivers nev
er come, where God’s people can
have free luxury.
Come to Chelsea Baptist
Church. Let me tell you the rest [
of it. Believe in the truth if it
knocks out my best friend. We
ought to preach it if we pastor
another church. Pity be on a
bought-over preacher, for his
soft bed will turn into a stone.
We are heard over WLAQ each
[ Sunday—2 p. m. and we are full
, time pastor at Chelsea Baptist.
We have the total of 16 converts
in the past few services and 7
for baptism. Our revival begins
March 19. Address all mail to::
