LAST GAMBLE
We are now thinking of people
who gamble with their last
chance. II Chrcn. 7-14: “If my
people, which are called by
name, shall humble themselves
and pray, and seek my face, and
turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sins, and
will heal their land.”
Remember the advantage of
your last chance in life is prayer
and surrender to God through
Christ. We read in the Bible
where a message came to
Hezikiah, set thy house in ordw,
thou shalt surely die and not
live. What did Hezikiah do about

THE SUMMERVILLE NEWS
his last chance? He turned his
face to the wall and prayed
mightily untc the Lord. Then the
Lord saw his tears and heard his
cries; so the Lord added fifteen
years to his life.
People, why gamble with the
last chance of life when you can
pray and forsake sin. Live in se
curity, not by chance of gamble.
America’s last chance of life is
through our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. Remember man’s
first chance of life was in the
Garden of Eden where Adam and
Eve by transgressing turned the
paradise into sweat of face, and
birth of children. Remember an
other chance by the law and sac
rifice of animals, yet the people
became so wicked that God de
stroyed them all by the flood of
water. Then another chance of
fered, Noah, a preacher of
righteousness and his family to
begin a new world, a world of
happiness, and no war. Yet after
time had passed and the popu
lation built up, people became
wicked and sinful even again.
Now what will the Lord do for
the world’s last chance? For He
has been patient, yet the Lord of
fers us one last opportunity. He
becomes willing to give His only

1 Use for Mineral Water
Glenwood Springs, Colo. — The
streets of this Western Colorado

snow. After each storm, the city's
tank trucks rumble down to the

loads of 180-degree mineral wa

only drawback is that the hot
water, sprayed on the snow, stirs
up a thick fog, which ties up
traffic for a while.
