If you’re due to play luncheon hostess to your club or
church group in the near future, here’s a suggestion to make
party preparation easier and faster. Serve a new improved
Simple Simon frozen cream pie for dessert . . . try the brand
new Butterscotch flavor or the other favorites of chocolate,
strawberry, lemon and coconut.
A new technique, especially developed for frozen pies, pro
duces a crust that’s flaky and tender, golden-brown, with the
flavor and texture of the best home-baked crusts. Another im
portant advance . . . the crust stays flaky and tender through
out a wide range of temperatures.
The secret behind the high quality and good flavor of these
pies lies in experienced bakers and high quality ingredients,
such as imported Dutch chocolate, fresh lemon juice, slices of
California strawberries and freshly toasted coconut. Each pie
measures 8 inches in diameter and serves 6 generously.
Keep your freezer well stocked with Simple Simon’s frozen
cream pies, ready for any occasion during the coming months.
They’re ideal for dinner-time desserts and for between-meal
snacking. Easy, too . . . just thaw 45 minutes or less and serve.
When the weather’s hot, try serving your pie not quite thawed
for a cooling, frosty treat.

VALUERATE the ROCKET
The man who
knows value
goes Olds!
More and more medium-priced car
buyers who want the most for their
money are joining the swing to Olds.
Why? Because they figure up all the
extra quality features and con
veniences Olds has as standard
equipment. They carefully consider
the economy of the Rocket Engine
I . . the low-cost maintenance of an
Olds ... its higher resale value. But
most of all they ask themselves,
"Is this the kind of rar my family
and 1 will be proud to own .. .
one that will give us the full
measure of fun and comfort we
want . . . is this the car whose
style will stay in style?"
The overwhelming ''yes” can he
found in the zooming sales success
of the ’59 Oldsmobile. See your
