TAKES SCHOOLING
William Boyd Garner has fin-
I ished nine weeks of training
in San Diego, Calif., and has
spent a 14-day leave with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Garner and other relatives.
After his leave he will be
stationed in Bainbridge, Md.
for 19 weeks of schooling.

Conducts Meeting
At Pennville Church
The church of Christ in Penn
ville will begin a series of gospel
meetings Sunday, June 14, to
continue through the 24th.
Evangelist Ralph T. Henley of
the West Rome church of Christ
will be the speaker.
The church also has planned a
vacation Bible School to begin
June 14. Free bus service will be
provided for all who wish to at
tend these classes.
The church extends a warm
welcome to everyone to attend
all services.
Evangelist Henley is a gradu
ate of David Lipscomb College in
Nashville, Tenn. He taught in
the college’s speech department
for a number of years. He is also
a former minister of the Dalton
church of Christ.
In the very near future Mr.
Henley and Ernest Stewart of
Detroit, Mich., and their fam
ilies plan to go to Jerusalem to
establish the church of Christ
there. They have obtained their
visas and expect to go in the
very near future.

The House Agriculture Com
mittee, alarmed over contin
ually decreasing prices for poul
try and eggs, has passed a reso
lution aimed at improving the
present critical situation within
the domestic poultry industry.
Egg prices are at their lowest
ebb in 18 years, and the farm
price of broilers is now the low
est on record for this season of
the year.

having undergone surgery. Her
