Petitioners desire for them- \
selves, their associates and suc
cessors to be incorporated under
the name of
"CHATTOOGA COUNTY
BROADCASTERS, INC.”

The object of said corporation
is pecuniary gain and profit.

The general nature of the
business or businesses to be
transacted is as follows:
(1) To engage In the business
of broadcasting and/or radio
casting by means of radio broad-1
casting machines or any other
devices, machinery, or equip
ment whatsoever. To own, sell
hold, lease, equip, maintain, and
operate broadcasting and receiv
ing stations and any connections
between such stations: to trans
mit, send, and broadcast over
the radio, news, talks, speeches,
lectures, musical concerts, plays,
theatricals, recitals, programs,
revues, readings, reports, sig
nals, and all matter and things
of any kind, nature, and de
scription whatsoever that may
be transmitted, sent, and broad-
I cast by radio.
(2) To rent, lease, sell, pur
chase. manage, maintain, oper
ate, own, repair, design, develop,
assemble, build, and mortgage,
pledge, or otherwise encumber
television stations and all types
and kinds of places and loca
tions used in the sending, trans
mitting, or relaying of television
signals, and to apply for. to
assist others in the application
for, to join with others in ap
plying for and securing licenses
and other indications of ap
proval of federal, state, and lo
cal government agencies for the
operation of the same.

Petitioners further desire that
said corporation be vested with
all the rights and powers now or
hereafter given to do any and
all things which may be needful
or proper in the operation of the
above described business, and
that said corporation have all of
the powers enumerated in Sec
tions 22-1827 and 22-1828, Geor
gia Code Annotated, and such
powers as may hereafter be given
by law.

The maximum number of
shares of stock with par value
shall be two thousand, five hun
dred (2500) shares of the par
value of One Hundred ($100.00)
Dollars per share, all of which
shall be common stock. However,
the amount of capital stock with
which the corporation shall be
gin business shall not be less
than authorized by law.
6.
The time for which the cor
poration is to have existence is
thirty-five (35) years, with the
privilege of renewal of the char
ter, from time to time, upon the
expiration of said periods of
thirty-five (35) years.
7.
The County in which the prin
cipal office of the corporation is
to be located is Chattooga Coun
ty, Georgia, but the privilege is
desired of establishing branch
offices and places of business
both within and without the
State of Georgia.
8.
Petitioners further desire that
by-laws of the corporation shall
be adopted by the common stock
holders, and such by-laws shall
provide for the officers of the
corporation, the manner of their
selection, and such other rules
appropriate to by-laws which
have as their purpose the con
trol and management of the cor
poration, including provisions
whereby the by-laws may be
amended.

Petitioners herewith exhibit a
certificate of the Secretary of
the State of Georgia as required
by Section 22-1803, Georgia Code
Annotated.
WHEREFORE, Petitioners pray
to be incorporated under the
name and style aforesaid with
all the rights, powers, privileges,
and immunities herein set forth,
and such additional rights,
powers and privileges as may be
necessary, proper or incident to
the conduct of the business
aforesaid, and as may be in
herent in or allowed to like cor
porations under the laws of the
State of Georgia as they now
exist or may hereafter exist.

Mrs. Frank Hunt and children
of Marietta, were guests of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barry
several days last week.
Mr. and Mrs. “Bill” Young and
son, Butch, left Friday morning
for Lexington, Ky„ being called
to the bedside of his father, who
is very ill.
Supper guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Vance Story Friday night were
G. A. Kling, Mr. and Mrs. C. A.
Wyatt, Miss June Wyatt, Mr. and
Mrs. R. D. Chamblee and Mrs. J.
Robert Henderson.
Mrs. S. W. Morton of Summer
ville was guest of the Robt. Wm.
Kings Saturday night.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Cavin and
children, Johnny, Marilyn and
Susan of Ware Shoals, S.C. spent
a few days last week with his
mother, Mrs. . E. Wyatt.
The Cook girls and Miss Emma
Simmons enjoyed ice cream with
the Joe Simmons Saturday
night.

tist Church Sunday. Some of the

Bible School
Said Successful
Summerville Presbyterian of
ficials this week described their
Vacation Bible School as “Very
successful”.
The enrollment was 109 and
average attendance was 98, ac
cording to the Rev. Gary Howell,
associate pastor of the church
and director of the school.
“This is considered to be one
of the best the church has ever
had,” the Rev. Mr Howell said.
Sixteen teachers assisted, pro
viding an excellent staff, he
noted.
The school was held last week
and concluded on Friday night
with graduation.
