with his grandmother, Mrs.

returned from Dade City, Fla.,
where they spent their vaca
tion.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hall and
Mr. and Mrs. L. E. LeCroy were
guests of Mrs. LeCroy’s sister,
Mrs. Louise Trapp, in LaFayette
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. William Gill
spent Monday night with Mr.
and Mrs. Dewey Hammond.
Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Reece, of
Duluth, were visitors in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Stephenson last week. Laura and
Lynn Stephenson, who have been
visiting their grandparents in
Duluth, returned home with
them.
Mrs. B. E. Neal and Mrs. Lillye
Stephenson were in Acworth
Sunday. Mrs. Neal remained for
a visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. J.
Abbott. Mrs. Stephenson re

Charity Ball
At VFW Home
A charity ball will be spon
sored by the Trion Inter-De
nominational Youth League to
night.
It will be at the Memorial
Home from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Dress will be semi-formal and
the event is for all high school
and college students. Tickets,
which are 50 cents, may be ob
tained from Youth League mem
bers or at the door.
COUNTY TEACHERS
TO MEET FRIDAY
Chattooga County teachers
will assemble in Summerville at
11 a.m. Friday for the first
Georgia Education Assn, unit
meeting of the new school term.
The session will be at the
Summerville High School audi
torium.

ters will be discussed. Appoint
ment of committees will be a
highlight.
Among those attending a GEA
cabinet meeting in Calhoun
Tuesday afternoon were Mr.
Hair and A. J. Strickland, Trion
school superintendent who also
is district GEA director.
Damage Suit Filed
On Traffic Death
A $23,429.23 damage suit has
been filed against a Trion man
in connection with the traffic
death this spring of Frank All
good, a Trion Negro.
The defendant is Charles
Brooks and the plaintiff is All
good’s widow, Mattie Sue All
good.
She charges negligence on the
part of Brooks, stating that he
cut across the center line on
U.S. 27 in Trion, striking her
husband’s vehicle and killing
him almost instantly.
