Chickamauga Lake Sunday.
Miss Brenda Grimes spent the
week-end with relatives and
friends in Chattanooga and the

Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Durham

day dinner guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh Riley. Mrs. Dorothy

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nix spent
the week-end in Marietta as
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Langston and children.
Miss Ann Williams was Sun
day night and Monday guest of

of Trion, were Sunday night
guests of her mother, Mrs. Leia
Townsend.
A birthday dinner was held
Sunday at the B&PW park in
Trion honoring Arthur Ander
son. A group of approximately
70 people attended.

and children visited her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Williams,
of Summerville, visited Mr. and
Mrs. Howard Langston and son

in progress with the Rev. Buddy
Brown, pastor of the church,
preaching. The public is invited

was Tuesday dinner guest of Mr.
and Mrs. George Romine.

Midway Baptist
Midway Baptist Church plans
a “Break the Record Day” Sun
day, Aug. 28, with a goal of 150
attendance at Sunday School,
10 a.m.
The Melody Girls Trio of Fort
Payne, Ala., will bring special
music and the pastor, Rev.
Glenn Boatner, will bring a mes
sage at 11 o’clock.
Lunch will be spread at the
noon hour. The public is invited
to attend these services.
Church will observe homecoming
Sunday, Aug. 28. Sunday School,
10 a.m.; preaching, 11 a.m.
Lunch will be served at the noon
hour. A singing will be held in
the afternoon. The public is in
vited. A revival begins Monday
night, 7:30, with the Rev. Sam
Sharp, of Chattanooga, preach
ing. The Rev. Milo Knight is
pastor.
The Rev. Jimmy Bailey is con

Farland Hill Baptist Church
near Dalton. The Rev. Johnny
Boatner is pastor and invites
everyone to attend.
