Miles City. Mont. Mr Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Julius Smith of Summerville. The father of the bride
performed the double ring ceremony. A reception was
held in the Herrmann M< monul Building, at the Ten
nessee Temple College. The couple is living at 7064
South Beech St.. Chattanooga Both are teachers of
private piano, and are student faculty members of
Tennessee Temple College. i

The wedding of Miss Mary Louise White of Berkley,
Mich, and Subligna and James Earl McConnell of Sum
merville was solemnized at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Historic
home of the bride’s aunt, Miss Evangeline Tate, in Penn
ville.

rites in the presence of some 50
close friends and relatives. Mag
nolias and candelabra entwined
with ivy made a pretty back
ground.
Music was provided by Miss
Alma Zada Eilenburg at the
piano.
Mrs. Billy Reece of Subligna
was the bride’s only attendant
and Fred Watkins of Griffin
was Mr. McConnell’s best man
Mrs. Reece wore a street-length
of Capri blue, featuring net over
taffeta. She had a nosegay of
pink and white pompoms.
The brunette bride, given in
marriage by her father, was
lovely in a white street-length
model of chiffon satin and
Chantilly lace. The lace jacket
had three-quarter length sleeves,
self buttons down the back, and
a bateau neckline. Her short
blush veil, attached to a close
fitting head piece, was of illu
sion tulle, and she carried a
white Bible topped with gar
denias and feathered carnations.
A reception immediately fol
lowed the rites, with Mrs. Will
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Housch
entertained with a luncheon at
their home Sunday, honoring
their daughter, Mary, who will
be married Sunday. Those en
joying the occasion were Mr. and
Mrs. Billy Housch and Andy, Mr.
and Mrs. Emory Gilmer and Le
jean, and Bobby Housch.

siding in an apartment at 18

Mrs. McConnell is the daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Mell White
of Berkley. Mich, and Subligna.
Her maternal grandparents were
the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Rudicil Tate of Trion and
her paternal grandparents were
the late Mr. and Mrs. William
Julious White of Subligna. She
is the sister of Mrs. Alexander
Ermalinski of New York City,
Ray White of Atlanta and Mell
Robert White, U.S. Naval Air
Station, Brunswick. She is a
graduate of Berkley High School,
Berkley, Mich.
Mr. McConnell is the son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Mc-
Connell of Summerville and his
only sister is Mrs. Cole. He is
employed at The Summerville
News as a photographer and en
graver.
The groom, who attended
Summerville High School, served
in 1950-52 in the U.S. Marine
Corps, spending 10 months at
the Marine Barracks in Pearl
Harbor, Hawaii where he per
formed garrison duty.
