Baptists Plan
Emphasis On
Missions Sun.
Baptist churches throughout
Chattooga County and Georgia
will observe a special State Mis
sions emphasis Sunday as spe
cial information is presented and
special emphasis placed upon
the mission work being carried
out in Georgia.
The Convention's program of
State Mission activity involves
an annual expenditure in Geor
gia of approximately $500,000,
and employes approximately 160
in the large scale operation
which includes, among other
things, a chaplain at Battey
Hospital in Rome, and a part
time interpreter for deaf chil
dren at Cave Spring School,
Cave Spring, Georgia.
Cub Scouts Asked
To Register Monday
Boys interested in registering
for the Cub Scout program in
Sumerville should be on hand
between 3:15 and 5 p.m. Monday
at the Presbyterian Church.
To be eligible, a boy must be
at least eight years of age, but
not yet 11.
The Cub Scouts regular meet
ings are at 7 p.m. each fourth
