Clerk of Superior Court of Chat
tooga County, Georgia and be
ing more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersec
tion of the north side of Black
gum Street and the west side of
a public road known as the Val
ley Road; thence running north
easterly over and along said
westerly side of the Valley Road
230 feet, more or less, to the
southeast corner of Lot No. 43 in
said Sub-Division: thence run
ning westerly over and along the
south boundary of said Lot No.
43, 220 feet, more or less, to the
easterly boundary line of Lot. No.
45 in said Subdivision; thence
running southerly over and along
said easterly boundary of said

The grantor herein and the

ing inherited a one-half (%) of

est of Mamie Gilreath, deceased
to the grantee who is the son of
grantor and Mamie Gilreath, de

come in default as to principal

signed elects that the entire
note, principal and interest, be
come due at once; notice of at
torney fees having been served
on- Dewey Gilreath and Myrtle
Gilreath.
NOW. THEREFORE, according
to the original terms of said se
curity deed and the laws in such
cases made and provided, the
undersigned will expose for sale
to the highest and best bidder
for cash the above-described
land, after proper advertisement,
on the first Tuesday in Decem
ber, 1961, between the legal
hours of sale before the court
house door in Summerville, Chat
tooga County, Georgia. The pro
ceeds from said sale will be
used, first to the payment of
said note, principal, interest and
expenses, attorney fees, and the
balance, if any, delivered to the
•said DEWEY GILREATH and
MYRTLE GILREATH.

DEDUCTIONS FOR
LEASING TRUCKS,
AUTOS EXPLAINED
A. C. Ross, District Director of
Internal Revenue Service, re
cently outlined Federal income
tax rules covering deduction of
amounts paid for leasing of auto
mobiles or trucks.
Mr. Ross said the information
is intended to answer continuing
inquiries which apparently stem
from advertisements implying
that all auto leasing expenses
are fully tax deductible.
Federal income tax rules on
this point are quite clear, Di
rector Ross said. Auto or truck
lease payments are deductible
only if they represent ordinary
and necessary expenses of and
are directly attributable to the
operation of a trade or business,
the agency explained.
Under no circumstances are
such lease payments deductible
to the extent they represent per
sonal use by a taxpayer, such as
for vacation trips or driving to
and from his place of business or
employment.
No deduction will be allowed
for so - called lease expenses
which, in fact, constitute pay
ments toward the purchase price
of autos or trucks. Mr. Ross said.
If the lease payments are so ar
ranged as to constitute advance
rental, such payments must be
