Funeral services for Mr. Grif
fith were held Saturday at the
West Summerville Baptist
Church, where he was a mem
■ber, with Rev. Billy Jones, Rev.
lA. A. Tanner and Rev. Gordon
Green officiating. Burial was in
Ami Cemetery near Menlo.
Active pallbearers were: El
bert Pledger, Robert Pledger.
J. P. Marrow, Billy Reece, Billy
Truce and Wendall Hughes.
J. D. Hill Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements.
TRIPS BANDIT
Fort Wayne, Ind. — A bandit,
fleeing from police, was tripped
by a pretty girl.
Edwina Eves saw police
chasing a man on a business;
street and as he passed her shel
stuck out her foot. Charles R. j
Perry fell sprawling and a
policeman arrested him.
Miss Eves said later that Perry
fell so hard she felt a bit sorry
for him.
