SGT. WEAVER
Weaver Goes
To Greenland
S/Sgt. Sydnor B. Weaver, for
merly of Summerville, has been
transferred to Sondristrom Air
Force Base, Greenland where he
will be stationed for the next 12
months.
The son of Mrs. Aline Nickol
son, Summerville Route 2. He is
married and has a son. His wife
and child live at Buchanan.
Weaver has been in the Air
Force 11 >/ 2 years and has served
for the past seven years as sup
ply sergeant for a unit at Dob
bins Air Force Base, Marietta.
World Day of
Prayer Set at
Trion Church
“More Than Conquerors” will
be the theme of the World Day
of Prayer Program at 7 p.m. Fri- |
day, March 1. at the Riegel Me
morial Methodist Church.
The women of the church will
sponsor the event which will be
a service of prayer and giving.

Cub Scouts
Plan Bancpiet
The newly - organized Penn- '
ville Cub Scout Pack will hold
its Blue and Gold banquet at
7 30 p.m Saturday at the Penn
ville School.
The Pack. No. 43, has two dens
with a total of 11 members.
Jimmy. Strickland is cub
master.
The pack was formed in No
vember of last year.
Surplus Food
Distribution
Set for Friday
Government food will be given
qualified Chattooga Countians
Friday, it was announced this
week.
The food will be distributed at
the Chattooga Fair Grounds
under the supervision of Warden
John Frank McConnell.
