Budgets for County Schools
Announced by Supt. Spence
The operation budget for the individual Chattooga
County Schools have been announced by County
School Supt. James Spence.
Each budget is based on that school’s active en
rollment at the end of the first month.
Th school system has $105,501.16 to dispense to
the individual schools, Mr. Spence said, and it is al
loted on a percentage basis.
Chattooga High, for instance, with 1,225 students
or 34 pci' cent of the total enrollment, gets 34 per cent
of the funds, or $35,870.39.
Here are the figures for the other schools:
Lyerly, 276 students, 7.5 per cent, $7,912.59.
Menlo, 273 students, 7.5 per cent, $7,912.59.
Pennville, 241 students, 7 per cent, $7,385.08.
Summerville Elementary, 904 students, 25 per
cent, $26,375.29.
Welmyer, 171 students, 5 per cent, $5,275.06.
Carter, 401 students. 11 per cent. $11,605.13.
Holland, 119 students, 3 per cent, $3,165.03.
