Miss Linda Demoilia Crowned
Queen at Lindale Cotton Ball
Miss Linda Demonia of Rome, formerly of Summerville,
was crowned queen at the 16th annual Cotton Ball in Lindale
Saturday nigh).
The event was sponsored by the American Legion Aux
iliary, Unit No. 136.
She wore a white sleeveless velveteen sheath with a flower
at the waist and was presented a bouquet of flowers a silver
engraved bowl and other gifts.
Miss Demonia was crowned by Mrs. Hugh Padgett. 1959
queen. Her escort was Ronnie Bates.
Proceeds of the ball will be used to purchase a flag pole,
a United States flag, a Georgia state flag and a bronze plaque
to be placed in front of the Pepperell Elementary School.
Miss Demonia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Harper
Demonia of Rome.

James P. Suits, son of Mrs.
Addie J. Tapp, 117 Seventh
Street, Summerville, was pro
moted in late September to spe
cialist four in Germany, where
he is serving with the 565th
Medical Company.
Specialist Suits, a driver in the
company near Baumholder, en
tered the Army in 1958 and
arrived overseas in September
1962.
The 20-year-old soldier at
tended Dalton High School.
His father. Herman D. Suits,
lives at 17 Union Street, Sum
merville.

Monday and Tuesday at The
Tooga Theatre in Summerville.
“Come Blow Your Horn” is
a modern - day sophisticated
comedy that sparkles with an

Four to Get
Eagles Here Tonight
Four Summerville boy scouts
will receive their eagle awards
tonight at a Chattooga District
Court of honor.
The court will be at 7:30 at
the Summerville Methodist
Church.
The eagle recipients will be:
Johnny Payne, Archibald Farrar
Jr., Bobby Lee Cook Jr. and
Jimmy Abney.
Several other awards also will
be presented at the court.

BIRTHDAY FETE
Sheryl Wilson was crowned
“Queen for the Day” Saturday
when she was entertained on
her ninth birthday with a
party at the Menlo Park. She
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Warner Wilson.
Boomerang favors were given
and the group also enjoyed
games and refreshments.
Some 22 attended.
