REASSIGNED TO
SHEPPARD AFB
Airman Kenneth R. Strick-
land. son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen
M. Strickland, of Route 2, Sum
merville, is being reassigned to
Sheppard AFB, Tex., for tech
:ical training as a United States
Air Force base utilities specialist.
Airman Strickland, who en
isted in the Air Force a short
ime ago, has completed his
nitial basic military training at
'-ackland AFB, Tex.
The airman is a 1959 gradu
ite of Chattooga High School.
He is married to the former
Jenith Thomas, of Summerville.

sent a Halloween carnival at 7:30
p.m. Friday.

FOR ESCAPEE
Officers were on the lookout
this week for an escapee from
the Chattooga Public Works
Camp. He is not considered dan
gerous.
Harry Van Kleeck escaped
about 11 am. Monday on the
Bolling Road by foot.
He is a white male, age 24.
weight 126 pounds, five feet
three, and has a ruddy com
plexion.
