Wednesday and Thursday, the
Stovers, till Friday; then to
Chattanooga a few days, before
returning to New York.

Begin Sunday
Evangelistic services will be
held in the Beersheba Presby
terian Church, beginning Sun
day morning and continuing
through next Friday.
There will be two services
daily, one at 10:30 a.m. and the
other at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Donald Hyde, min
ister, will be the speaker.
John T. Stubbs Jr. is general
chairman of the services, as
sisted by Kelley Bryan and Wal
ter Jones in charge of visitation
evangelism; Mrs. Marvin Jones
and Mrs. Kelley Bryan in charge
of cottage prayer meetings; and
Mrs. John T. Stubbs Sr., heading
the prayer group. Thursday’s
cottage prayer meeting will be
held at the home of W. W. Stan
sell, and Friday’s at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. (Monty)
Cherry.
The Daily Vacation Bible
School, held last week at the
Beersheba church, established a
high record of total enrollment
of 112. Mr. Hyde was director of
the School. This was the 27th
consecutive Bible School.
Tonight at 7:30 p.m., the see
ond session of the Spiritual Life
Clinic, healing services, will be
held at the Menlo Presbyterian
Church, conducted by the min
ister. Requests for prayer can
be presented in person or tele
phoned to the minister. The
clinic, according to Mr. Hyde, is
a period of training in deepening
the spiritual life, how to become
effective in prayer, and praying
for healing, mentally, emotion
ally and physically.
Due to the minister being in
the Beersheba evangelistic serv
ice, a guest speaker will conduct
the 7:30 evening service at the
Cloudland Presbyterian Church.

Summerville Scouts Tapped
For Order Os The Arrow
Waguli Lodge of the Order of
the Arrow, sponsored by North-
West Georgia Council of the Boy
Scouts of America, presented
one of its most colorful pageants
in recent years as the concluding
tap-out ceremony of tne 1964
camping season at Boy Sdout
Camp Sidney Dew Thursday
night. Several Chattoogans were
included.
Although heavy rains had
fallen just minutes before, the
weather cleared in time for the
300 visitors to see the ceremony
under a canopy of stars. The pa
geant took place at the spring
fed swimming pool at the foot of
Calbeck Mountain.
A total of 20 candidates were
tapped bringing the total of
Scouts, Explorers, and leaders
called for the Ordeal Ceremony
in August to 75. Thursday
night’s candidates include: Jim
Allen, Rickey Hunt, Greg Wil
liams, Ronny Floyd, Nelson Shi
ver, and Tommy Hawkins, all of
Summerville.

Board Exam
Scheduled
The scholastic aptitude test of
the College Entrance Examina
tion Board will be given at
Shorter College at 8 a.m. Satur
day.
The test will be given by Dr.
Stanislav Velinsky, Professor of
Psychology at Shorter College,
in Room 209 of Rome Hall.
Persons desiring to take the
test should report to the college
at the time designated and bring
with them three soft lead pen
cils and their registration fee of
$5. It will not be necessary to
make preliminary application.
