shows:

Petitioner was duly incorpo
rated by order of this Court
dated April 25, 1950 for a period,
of 35 years, with right of re
newal.
2.
There has been no amend
ment to the charter of said cor- i
po ration.
3.
Petitioner desires to amend its
said charter by striking there
from and repealing paragraph
3rd thereof and substituting
therefor a new paragraph 3rd as
follows, so that as amended, I
paragraph 3rd of said charter
shall be and read as follows:
The maximum number of
shares of stock that the corpora- I
tian shall have outstanding at
any time shall be twenty-five i
thousand shares of common

lars ($10.00) per share; and the
nmount of capital stock with

tion.

that its charter be amended as
set out in paragraph 3 of this
petition.

the Trion Division, Riegel Textile Corp.,
were among those receiving factory
training at Saco-Lowell Shops recently.
They were William Styles (second from

Lowell Plant, Easley, S. C. learning the

and maintaining the Rovematic roving
machine. The Riegel mill at Trion has

Meat Import
Quotas Pass
Senate 72-15
Beef, lamb and mutton im
port quota restrictions passed
the Senate July 28 by a vote of
72-15.
The legislation would limit
these red meat imports to the
1959-1963 average in lieu of the
voluntary limits negotiated by
the administration with the
major exporters which based
voluntary limits on the average
hivh import years of 1962-1963.
The lopsided victory came as
a surprise to the nations’ live
stock producers in view of the
vigorous administration opposi
tion to the legislated quotas and
when passed by the House, faces
a threatened presidential veto.
Both of Georgia’s Senators
supported the measure and Con
gressman G. Elliott Hagan of the
Ist Congressional District is
representing Georgia as one of
the many sponsors of the legis
lation in the House of Repre
sentatives.
The Bill sponsored by the
American National Cattlemen’s
Association has been strongly
supported by the Georgia Live
stock Association, the Georgia
affiliate of the National as well
as most of the Associations rep
resenting the Georgia livestock
industry.
