Stephenson in Rome while the
latter was recovering from sur
gery.
Mrs. Clyde Bennett was sup
per guest Friday of Mr. and Mrs
Weyman High. She spent the
night with Mr. and Mrs. Enoch
High.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brison and
children, and Mrs. Rufus Brison
visited their Hense relatives in
Chickamauga Sunday.

been on a visit to Memphis with

home last Monday. They brought
her home and stayed several
days with John Vaughn and Mrs.
Hester Clark. They also visited
Mr. and Mrs. Bob House.
Mr. and Mrs. Bolling Ratliff
and family were in Rome Satur
day.
Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Tucker,
Mrs. Mark Strawn, Holland and
Marcus took a picnic lunch and
had an outing at Cave Spring
Sunday.

had Sunday night supper with
Mrs. J. P. Adderhold at her Cen
tre, Ala., cabin. Mr. and Mrs.
Adiss McCants and family, of
Anniston; Mrs. George Hubler
and children and Mrs. Willard
Jackson, of Lyerly, and Miss
Elsie Holland, of Atlanta, were
other guests.
Mrs. T. H. Holland spent the
day Saturday in Broomtown
with Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Jones.

and enjoyed viewing slides of
her recent western trip.

Mrs. Betty Landrum, David
and Kay, of Griffin, spent from
Wednesday until Friday with
Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Holland.
They went to Trion Thursday.

Penny Dive
Set Friday
The annual penny dive at the
। Summerville Recreation Dept,
pool will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Friday, it has been announced.
Over 500 pennies will be
thrown in and there will be a
prize for the person recovering
the most.
Admission will be 25c.
Tenn., spent Wednesday night
with his aunt, Mrs. Lois Barker,
and then will go to Florida to
see Mrs. Marjorie Barrett and
other relatives.

turned home from Floyd Hos
pital Friday after undergoing
minor surgery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Young
Cook, 89, formerly of Trion, who died
in Cummings at 5 p.m. Thursday, were
held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of
J. D. Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. H. M.
Driver officiated and interment was in
West Hill Cemetery, Trion.

man McKeehan, 72, Menlo Route 1. who
died Wednesday afternoon. July 29, were
held at 11 a.rn Friday at the Menlo

Ami Cemetery.
