hospital where she has been

patient for the past several
weeks.

Jeffrey J. Joyce has been
named general sales manager-
Eastern Division of Bigelow-San
ford, Inc., the nation’s oldest
manufacturer of rugs and car
pets, it was announced this week
by Robert B. Jennings, Vice
President for Marketing and
Products.
Mr. Joyce, who joined the com
pany in 1939, has held a succes
sion of jobs with increasing re
sponsibility and for the past two
years was Merchandise Manager
in the New York Headquarters
office. He succeeds Richard A.
Stabile, who has resigned.
Bids On Main
Carter Dam
To Be Sought
Advance notice was given to
day that bids will be invited De
cember 10 for construction of
the main dam at the Carters
Dam site in Murray County.
Seventh District Congressman
John Davis said the main dam,
phase two of the project, is ex
pected to cost some $lO million.
Bids will be opened on or about
January 27, he stated.
