mendation Medal at Laon AB,

Sergeant Worsham was
awarded the medal for meritori
ous service as a training techni
cian at Robins AFB
He is now a training tech
nician with a United States Air
Forces in Europe (USAFE) unit
at Laon. His unit supports the
USAFE mission of providing the
major air contribution for de
fense of the NATO countries.
The sergeant is a graduate of
Trion High School and is mar
ried to the former Billie A. Wat
son.

The annual fellowship and
“Ladies’ Night” program of the
Chattooga Ministerial Alliance
was held at the Riegeldale Tav
ern Friday.
The following officers were
elected for the coming year:
The Rev. Robert Franklin,
First Baptist, Summerville, presi
dent, succeeding Rev. Earl W.
Hall. Trion Presbyterian; the
Rev. C. W. Crowe, Christian and
Missionary Alliance, vice presi
dent, succeeding the Rev. Dewey
Bailey, Menlo Methodist; the

RECEIVE DEGREES
Two Summerviliians were
among the 442 persons scheduled
to receive degrees during fall
quarter commencement at Au
burn University Wednesday.
They were Martha Elizabeth
Hamner and Henry Andrew
Jackson Housch Jr., both of
whom received the bachelor of
science in education.
