Miss Kathryn Keel of Milledgeville shows why she’s
a strong advocate of the annual “Stay and See Geor
gia” campaign as she points to a pair of black bass
taken at Lake Sinclair, the Georgia Power Company’s
1 5,006-acre reservoir located in Middle Georgia. The
bass, weighing 4% and 5% pounds, were caught on
light spinning tackle with spring lizards. Lake Sinclair
is one of 18 reservoirs formed by Georgia Power’s
hydroelectric generating plants across the state. The
lakes also provide facilities for camping, picnicking,
boating, swimming and water skiing for thousands
of Georgians and out-of-state visitors each year.
