THE ROAD TO CHRISTMAS
GARNETT ANN SCHULTZ
On the pleasant road to Christmas
Round a bend that leads to home
There is laughter in the snowflakes
Such as none you’ve ever known.
You can see a lighted window
Ever bright and ever fair,
And the sounds of Christmas music
Fills the precious winter air.
Happy faces there to greet you
When at last the day is done,
With a tvelcome on the doorstep
Reaching out to everyone.
Lots of mistletoe and holly.
Little ones who still believe,
’Cause they know that dear old Santa
Will be there on Christmas Eve.
You will find the road to Christmas
Where your hopes and dreams come true,
And your heart ivill know the magic
That the season brings to you.
All the world a little brighter
At this special time of year,
Peace on earth, because it’s Christmas,
Bits of gladness, smiles of cheer.
May you know a joy this Christmas
That will fill your heart with love,
May your music be the music
Os the angels up above.
With the home fires softly glowing
May you find my wish sincere,
As the pleasant road to Christmas
Leads you through a bright new year.
MY LOVE
GEORGIA B. ADAMS
Somehoiv 1 wish I could wrap up,
In package bright and gay,
All of the love I have for you.
This joyous Christmas Day!
I’d find the largest box I could,
And pack it in real tight;
Oh, I would do most anything
To make your season bright!
And so the purpose I’ve in mind
It just to let you know
That every thought I have of you
Just seems to grow and grow.
And though my love can’t be contained
In package large and gay,
I’m sure you know it deeper grows
With every Christmas Day!
