To Get Job Aid
Chattooga County veter

employment services” under
a program just announced
by the Rome office of the
Georgia Department of La

A. E Hutchison, manager
of the Rome office, said
these services will be offered
to returning veterans of this
area through the program
entitled "Veterans —A Time
to Serve Them.” There are
three-quarter-million young,
able men and women being
discharged from military
service each year. Behind
these veterans are their
years of service to our coun

signed to help speed their
placement in suitable jobs.
Hutchison stated that dur

year there were 64 service
men from Floyd and Chat
tooga counties released from
the armed forces. Many of
these men have jobs to re
turn to by virtue of re-em
ployment rights guaranteed
by law. Some will desire to
change types of employment
due to skills and abilities ac
quired in service. Many will
not have any reemployment
rights because they went di
rectly into service from high
school or college.
