School. The trophy was beauti
ful. Troy Staehly was the
salutatorian and received a
beautiful blue trophie with his
name that of the school. Miss
Dianne Fowler received a
plaque as she was another
honor student. We wish for
each of the class of 1970 the
best of everything as they leave
Lyerly and go to another
school.

Moon Rock Snapshots
Scientists at the Univer
sity of Georgia have prepared
an extensive photographic pro
file of lunar particles collected
during the first manned moon
landing.
They show that much of
the moon’s soil is made up of
tiny rounded glass particles in
curious shapes like crescents
and teardrops. The particles are
thought to have been formed
by meteorites striking the lunar
