One newscaster, who has re

“I’m not running away from
things, I’m running away to

square astronauts but if this
newscaster were in a spaceship,
things would not be too dull
and he would appreciate the
men at the controls doing a

do some thinking.

with God through the sacri

urrection of the Lord Jesus
Christ? “Therefore being justi
fied by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 5:1)
My friend, if it is square to
have peace with God, to be
‘‘more than conquerors
through him that loved us,”
(Rom. 8:37) to be Heaven
bound, to hate sin and Satan,
to have personal and family
devotions daily, to attend
church regularly, to be con
cerned about the lost, to pray
for the sick, to walk in the
Spirit, to have have joy in the
Lord, and to expect Jesus to
come at any time to rapture
the saints, then please call this
writer a square.
If you are not saved you are
lost. If you are not Heaven
bound you are hell-bound. Be
wise, turn to God for mercy,
trust Jesus as your Lord and
Savior, and be saved from the
wrath of God.
Now, may every Christian
sing from his heart:
“To be used of God, to sing,
to speak, to pray,
To be used of God, to show
someone the way,
I long so much to feel the
touch of His consuming fire,
To be used of God, is my
desire."

WASHINGTON, D. C. The
little red schoolhouse is fast
becoming extinct for a variety
of reasons. Numbers of stu
dents are, however, probably
the main reason.
About 59.9 million persons,
3 to 34 years of age, were
enrolled in this nation’s schools
or college in the fall of 1969,
according to the Current Popu
lation Survey conducted in
October, 1969, by the Bureau
of Census and reported by the
National Consumer Finance
Association in its July news
letter, FINANCE FACTS.
The figure represents an in
crease of 14 per cent over the
52.5 million figure of October,
1964, and the survey explains
these increases to more 6- to
17-year-old compulsory school
children and general increases
The number of college stu
dents increased by 60 per cent
in a five-year period from 4.6
million in 1964 to 7.4 million
in 1 969. Eighteen-and 19-year
olds made up 3.4 million or 50
per cent of that age group in
Elba, Ala.
