THE GENERATED GAP
Are you a young squirt who
does not care? Or are you an
old fogy who does not under
stand?
Much is said about a “gener
ation gap” these days It seems
as if people fall back on this to
excuse a lot of the problems
between the youth and the
older folk It should be remem
bered that Satan even seeks to
further generate and aggravate
problems between the old and
the young In fact, the Devil
encourages problems between
the old and the old and the
young and the young.
One man has remarked, “It
is true that the older gener
ation is made up of phonies.
But it is also true that the
younger generation is made up
of phonies. We are all phonies.
And sin has made us this way.
Actually, what we have is not
so much a generation gap as a

FORMER CHS STUDENT SIGNS WITH SHORTER
Roger Peterson, a graduate of Cedar
town High School, is shown signing
for a baseball scholarship to Rome’s
Shorter College. The young left-hand

man at Chattooga High School after
an outstanding season with the Sum

for your justification, and that
you need to be saved more
than anything else in the
world then face these facts
now, turn to God for mercy,
trust Jesus as your Lord and
Savior, and be saved before it is
too late.
Christians, are you yielded
to the Lord as it is your reason
able service to be? Oh, you
may be in right relation to
God, but are you in right
fellowship with your Heavenly
l ather? Go ahead and confess
and forsake your sins and seek
His fellowship because you are
the one that caused it to
change. Someone has said, “If
you are not as close to God as
you once were, you need not
guess who moved.”
In 11 Timothy 1:4,5, the
Apostle Paul indicated that
there was no generation gap in
Timothy’s family. Notice what
was said: “Greatly desiring to

hypocrisy) faith that is in thee,
which dwelt first in thy grand

State Sells Seized Liquor
ATLANTA The State
Revenue Department today
sold 316 cases of confiscated
liquor at auction for a total of
$15,525, which will augment
the funds of the State Treas
ury. The auction was held at
the old state liquor warehouse
in Atlanta.
There were 15 participating
bidders, and the liquor was
sold to seven different Atlanta
area retailers who made the
highest bids on the thirteen
separate lots offered. The total
wholesale worth of the liquor
was $20,836.78.
The whiskey auctioned by
the revenue department is
bonded and manufactured by
reputable distillers, but it has
been seized throughout the
state by state agents in both
wet and dry counties because it
was either being transported,
that in thee also.”

^THEY’RE WKTCHNG THE BLUE BALLOT.
On March 12,1968, voters in New Hampshire voted on an issue. They voted
against the bombing of North Vietnam. Lyndon Johnson watched that vote On
March 31, he dropped out of the race for the Presidency and stopped the bombing.
Now on September 9,1970, there's another issue. Schools. And this time
it's Georgia voters who can make their vote count. After all, it New Hampshire
can get rid of a president. Georgia can get rid of forced bussing.
And it can only be done by using the blue ballot. The Republican ballot. The
freedom of choice ballot. The only ballot that offers you a chance to stop bussing.
The ballot that will tell President Nixon people in Georgia and the South have
had enough.
The question of bussing has never been put to a vote. This is the first time in
the United States that freedom of choice can be the people s decision. Now all
eyes of the nation are on Georgia. President Nixon has said he's watching
Georgia's blue ballot He and Spiro have said they're opposed to bussing. So, give
them something to see. Give them a reason to stop it.
But make no mistake The freedom of choice question is not on the
Democrat ballot The blue ballot is the Republican ballot. It is a Primary ballot.
So, vote the blue ballot in September for your children And stop the bus.
And this is Jimmy Bentley s plan: to stop bussing by using your vote as a
direct line to the President. And Presidents want to be President again. He will
listen. So, if you have been driven far enough, ask for a blue ballot on September
9. Then vote yes for Jimmy Bentley and freedom of choice. You can't have one
without the other Besides, consider your other choice?
