35 YEARS OF SERVICE
Fred J Peters (L), shown above with James E
Meredith, plant manager of Georgia Rug Mill, re
cently retired after completing 35 years of service
with Bigelow-Sanford Mr. Peters joined Bigelow
in 1935 at the Amsterdam, N. Y., plant. In Febru
ary, 1956, he became supervisor of the punch felt
operation of Georgia Rug Mill. In August, 1967 he
became general foreman of rubberizing and shear
ing at the Summerville plant. At the time of his
retirement, he was general foreman of rubberizing
and shearing at the new Lyerly plant. Mr. and Mrs
Peters will continue to reside at their home on
Hilltop Drive in Summerville.

MC Sets Enlistment Guarantee
A new enlistment program

while on active duty.
To qualify, applicants must ;
be between the ages of 17-26, !
physically qualified, satis- '
factorily complete a series of
mental tests, and agree to serve
on active duty for a perioS of
four years. Upon qualification,
the applicant is guaranteed his
choice of one of the four occu
pational groupings which in
clude electronics and com
munications, administrative
specialists, technical specialists,
and combat fields. Each group
includes numerous occupa-
tional fields and specialities.
