Mrs. Margaret Moss, beloved
neighbor and friend, passed
away last Wednesday at the
local hospital after a lingering
illness. She will be missed by
many friends who give to her
families their sympathy in their
bereavement.
Little Eric Crisp spent last
week with his grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Free
man.
Get-well wishes go to Mrs.
George Helms, Sr., who under
went surgery at Floyd Hos
pital, Rome, last Tuesday.

lanta was the weekend guest of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Bailey.
Mrs. DeEtta Gilreath, who
underwent surgery recently in
Atlanta, was able to return
home for a short stay during
the weekend. She was ac
companied home by her grand
daughter, Mrs. Pat Smith, and
Chris. They were Sunday
guests of her son and family,
Mr. and Mrs. John Gilreath and
attended services at the First
Baptist Church.
Get-well wishes are ex
tended to Mrs. Sell Harris who
is confined to the local hos
pital.
Mr. and Mrs. Tate Giles and
children of Shreveport, La.,
spent a few days last week with
his mother, Mrs. Bernice Giles,
having been called home to at
tend the funeral services of
Mrs. Giles’ aunt, Miss Ida
Snow, in Chattanooga last
Wednesday. Mrs. Bernice Giles
accompanied them and visited
with Miss Lillie Tate and Mrs.
W. O. Day later Wednesday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Deck Brewster
spent the weekend with their
daughter, Mrs. Richard West
brook, and Mr. Westbrook, at
Ft. Walden, Fla.
Friends of Mack Agnew of
Center Post, nephew of Miss
Polly Bohanon, will be glad to
learn he is doing nicely after
undergoing surgery in a
Birmingham, Ala., hospital last
Friday, and wish for him a
speedy recovery.

shoppers in Rome Monday eve
ning.
Mrs. Eva Evans visited with
Miss Annie Bell Reynolds and
Mrs. Emma Lemming last Mon

Mrs. Addie Locklear, a long
time resident of Chattooga
County, passed away last
Wednesday at the local hos
pital. She leaves a host of rela
tives and friends who will
greatly miss her, and extend to
her family their heartfelt
sympathy.

thorpe, and was reported doing
as well as could be expected at
this writing. Wishes for a com
plete recovery are extended for
her.
