Jimmy Ray Crawford, 16,
Route 3, Summerville, died
Sunday, July 23, from injuries
sustained in an automobile
accident on U.S. Highway 27
near Gore. He was born in
Chattooga County on July 26,
1955, the son of John Henry
Crawford and Henrietta
Barnes.
Surviving besides the par
ents are stepfather, Clarence
Barnes, Route 3, Summerville;
one half-sister, Patricia A.
Barnes; three half-brothers,
Rickey Clyde, Danny E., and
Allen Barnes, ail of Summer
ville; maternal grandmother,
Mrs. Josie Luallen, Summer
ville; maternal grandfather, Bill
Luallen.
Funeral services were held
Monday, July 24, at 4 p.m.

God, with the Rev. A. A. Tan
ner and the Rev. Goldman
Hogue officiating. Burial was in
Summerville Cemetery.

early Sunday morning, July 23,
from injuries sustained in an
automobile accident near
Atlanta He was born in Chat
tooga County on April 23,
1952, moving to Atlanta in
1965, where he had made his
home for the past few years
He is the son of Judson and

Atlanta

She was preceded in death by
her husband. John Murdock, tn
1937. She was a former em
ployee of the Summerville
Manufacturing Co. and a mem
ber of the Firstborn Church of
God.
Surviving are two daughters,
Mrs. Dorothy Lee Hunter,
Chickamauga, Mrs. Ethel Mae
Sanford, Route 2, Lyerly;
three sons, Charlie and Arnold
Murdock, Summerville, Frank
Murdock, Rome; two half
brothers, Walter Lawson, Harri
man, Tenn., Ira Lawson, Rock
wood, Tenn.; two half-sisters,
Mrs. Hazel Brown and Mrs.
Elsie Hatcher, Rockwood. Fif
teen grandchildren, six great
grandchildren, several nieces

Funeral services will be held
today at 11 a.m. from Chapel
Hill Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Wrathburn Cash and the
Rev. A. A. Tanner officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining
cemetery.

CHARLES N TURPIN
Charles Noel Turpin, 72,
Rockingham, N. C., died Fri
day, July 21, at 8 p.m. He was
born in Tulaski County, Ky.,
on Oct. 13, 1899, moving to
Floyd County at an early age,
where he had lived until 1967,
when he moved to Rocking
ham and worked as an archi
tect inspector. He was the son
of the late Ira and Aggie
Trimble Turpin and a member
of the Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Florida Evans Turpin, Rocking
ham; one daughter, Mrs. Betty
Howell, Lexington, N. C.; three
sons, Charles A. Turpin,
Takomo Park, Md., Wilburn
Turpin, Orlando, Fla., and
James Turpin, Decatur; one sis
ter, Mrs. Sylvia West, Rock
mart; one brother, Lesslie Tur
pin, Rome; 19 grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held
Monday, July 24, at II a.m.

with Father Martin Rabbitte
