FRUIT TREE DISEASE
Plant diseases are a major
menace to the health of fruit
trees. Scab fungus, for
example, is a typical disease
that attacks and destroys leaves
and young fruit on apple and
pear trees. Blossoms on peach
and plum trees are susceptible
to the brownrot fungus.
Diseases, as well as insects and
fungi, can be controlled by
applying spray mixtures
recommended by your county

affecting accreditation in the

The study will extend over a

as the Chattooga High School,

COUNTIES
I have seen many of you during this campaign, and
have spoken directly with you in relation to my
candidacy for re-election to the office of District
Attorney for the Superior Courts of the Lookout
Mountain Judicial Circuit. However, it has been
necessary for me to spend a great deal of time in
court performing the duties of District Attorney, as I
know you desire.
Kind words of encouragement and promise have
added enthusiasm to my efforts for re-election.
It has been a pleasure to serve you, the people of
this Circuit, as your Solicitor General and District
Attorney since 1953. I have served you honestly and
conscientiously, and this has given me the opportuni
ty to know you and to understand and help you in
your problems. Many of you fine people have helped
me to serve with success and I want each and every
one of you to know I appreciate it. With this same
fine spirit of cooperation, I feel certain I can continue
serving you as District Attorney.
I graduated from Subligna High School, worked
my way through Berry College, and obtained my law
degree from the University of Georgia.
I am admitted to practice in all Georgia Courts,
and the U.S. District, Circuit and Supreme Courts.
Over the years 1 have continued my legal training. I
graduated in 1970 from the first college of District
Attorneys at the University of Houston. Texas, and
later became a senior faculty advisor to the National
College serving immediately under the Dean. I have
attended numerous seminars and other special train
ing programs.
