TOWN OF TRION
TRION. GEORGIA
Sealed bids will be received by
the Town of Trion, at the City
Offices in Trion. Georgia, until 2
O’clock EST November 9, 1972, for
furnishing all labor, materials, and
equipment for additions to waste
treatment facilities, at which time
and place they will be publicly
opened and read aloud.
The work consists of furnishing
all labor, materials, and equipment
necessary:
To perform miscellaneous site
work including widening the exist
ing aeration basin dikes, grading,
grassing paving and
To add to the existing facilities
two (2) secondary clarifiers, three
(3) return sludge pumps, one (1)
aerobic digester, one (1) sludge
thickener, six (6) mechanical aera
tors, sludge beds, aeration basin
water spray system and chlorine
tion system including chlorinator
and building, container handling
equipment, and contract chamber.
All necessary incidentals to make
a complete and workable instaila
tion must be included.
Plans, Specifications and Contract
Documents are open to the public
at the City Offices in Trion. Geor
gia, and at the office of Robert and
Company Associates, Architects
and Engineers. Copies may be
secured from Robert and Company
Associates, 96 Poplar Street, N W.,
Atlanta, Georgia 30303, upon
deposit of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
Twenty five Dollars ($25 00) of
each deposit will be refunded to
each bidder uoon return of all
documents in good condition with
in ten days after opening of bids.
Bids must be accompanied by a
certified check or bid bond in an
amount of not less than five per
cent (5%) of the amount bid. A
contract performance bond and a
payment bond equal to 100% of
the contract price will be required
of the Contractor.
No bid may be withdrawn for a
period of sixty (60) days after the
scheduled time for receiving bids.
Bidders will note that this project
is to be financed in part by supple
mental Federal Grants as an exten
sion of Project No. WPC-ARC
GA 136 Contractors performing
work on waste water treatment
projects federally assisted by the
Environmental Protection Agency
must fulfill requirements of the
Davis Bacon Act, the Copeland
Anti Kickback Act the Contract
Work Hours Standards Act, and
Executive Nondisc r i mmation
