ly received His only begotten
Son, the Lord Jesus, into your
heart and life by faith? If not,
why not? There is no good
reason; therefore, do so today.
You will find that Jesus is a
wonderful Savior
If you are truly saved by
God's grace, then are you
honestly following your Lord
from day to day? How much
do you love Him? He is worthy
of all your love and worship.
Are you allowing Him to have
the pre-eminence in your life?
Have you come to the place
that you can truthfully say as
John the Baptist said, “He
must increase, bet I must de
crease’’’ Can you sincerely say
as Paul the Apostle said, “For
to me to live is Christ, and to
die is gain?" What is your
answer?
Christian, when did you last
sit at Jesus’ feet and listen
quietly to Him? Oh, we are
busy and our days are full of
cares and pleasures, but let us
heed His call supremely love

Personal Viewpoint
BY TOM J. RUBLE
We hear and read much
about the brutality of police
and others connected with law
enforcement. Sometimes, there
has been sympathy extended
to the criminal and condemna
tion for those enforcing the
law. Unless we can reverse this
trend, our homes and our
nation will not be safe nor
secure.
As a minister, let me say
something about brutality:
Speeding and driving while
drinking is brutal. Many times
ministers are called upon to tell
relatives that a son, daughter,
or parent has been killed. Many
times ministers have called
upon mothers to try to give

some comfort when a beautitul
daughter has been criminally
raped or killed. That was
brutal.
Lovely homes and yards
have been torn up by vandals.
That was brutal. A little boy in
tears goes about trying to find
his bicycle that has been
stolen. That was brutal.
Much grief and sorrow is
brought about by brutality of
the criminal. If we will let our
law enforcement officers be
“brutal” it may save our boys
and girls from a life of crime.
We do not want our children to
be grown-up babies, but
mature men and women, to
assume their place in this world
and make worthwhile contribu
tions to it.
