Good News
§ By George Westbrook $
GIVE ME. GIVE ME.
GIVE ME!
O God, thank You for all
Your benefits Truly, if it were
not for Your mercy and com
passions, that fail not, we
would be consumed. Great is
Your faithfulness. With ail the
honor we know how to give
unto You, we bow with grate
ful hearts and sincerely ask
You to accept our thanks.
Enable us to be more aware of
Your daily blessings, and please
forgive us wherein we have
failed to daily give You the
praise and thanks for which
You are so worthy. In Jesus’
name. AMEN.
Brethren, each of you who
have truly turned from sin and
definitely received the Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ, are
you doing the will of God?
Without question it is His will
that we give thanks. “In every
thing give thanks: for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you.” I Thes. 5:18
Perhaps we should be still
and listen closely to Philippians
44-7 again, “Rejoice in the
Lord alway: and again I say.
Rejoice. Let your moderation
be known unto all men The
Lord is at hand Be careful for
nothing; but in every thing by
prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which
passeth all understanding, shall
keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.”
Did you notice the word
“thanksgiving” in those verses?
It is so easy to say give me, give
me, give me but fail to say
thank .you, thank you, thank
yon. Yes, prayerlessness dis
pleases the Lord, but thankless
ness does also There are not
enough pages in this paper to
list all our blessings if we were
to sit down and count them In
fact, after we have counted all
the blessings that our finite
minds will allow us to remem
ber, there will be far more un
counted than counted
Christian, “O give thanks
unto the Lord for He is good
for His mercy endureth for
ever Let the redeemed of the
day at the loci’l hospital
Mrs Ruby Crider and Mrs
Earlene Craig attended the
funeral of Mrs Vick Williams
Sunday. Mrs Craig spent the
remainder of the day with her
parents, Mr and Mrs Earl
Crider.
