Miss Littlejohn Weds
Steve Charles Saine
Miss Anita Kay Littlejohn
and Steve Charles Saine were
united in marriage in an early
evening ceremony on October
10 at the Corinth Baptist
Church on Route 3, LaFayette.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M.
Littlejohn and the
bridegroom’s parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Charlie C. Saine of
la Fayette
The ceremony was
performed by the Rev. C.O.
Stanley and nuptial music was
by Bobby Hickey, organist,
and Miss Hilda Hickey, soloist.
The church had a large
arched candelabrum in the
center with large arrangements
of white glads, candelabra and
greenery on both sides.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a formal
wedding gown of ivory silk
peau de sole designed with
above-the-elbow sleeves, a
scooped neckline and Empire
waistline. Re-embroidered
Alencon lace motifs, centered
with seed pearls enhanced the
bodice, sleeves and A-line skirt.
The detachable chapel train
was bordered with matching
lace and pearls. Her finger-tip

by a spray of silk petals and
lace flowers. She carried a
white orchid bouquet arranged
in a cascade effect with white
rosebuds and tied with long
white ribbon streamers.
Mrs. Sharon Trapp of Ft.
Oglethorpe, the matron of
honor, wore a floorlength
gown of purple polyester
crepe. Her corsage was a
nosegay of orchid asters. The
bridesmaids, Misses Becky
Mullis of Ft. Oglethorpe and
Terri Stanfield of LaFayette,
were also dressed in
floor-length gowns of light
purple polyester crepe. They
carried nosegays of purple
asters.
Kenneth F. Trapp of Ft.
Oglethorpe was best man.
Alien O’Bryant and Jerry
Quinn, both of LaFayette,
were groomsmen.
The bride’s mother and the
bridegroom’s mother both
were dressed in floor-length
dresses accented with white

orchid corsages.
This is the time of the year
for hunters to be careful.

Briefed on
Decorations
“Christmas Decorations”
was the demonstration given
by Pam Tawzer, home econo
mist, for the Lyerly Home
makers Club Tuesday, Nov. 14,
at the home of Mrs. Bus Wyatt
on Lyerly Highway.
The business meeting was
presided over by the president,
Mrs. Edna Cook. A most in
teresting devotional was given
by Mrs. Tennie Ruth Tidmore.
The secretary, Mrs. George
Gilbert, gave her report. The
treasurer’s report was omitted
due to the absence of the treas
urer, Mrs. Herbert Edwards. A
collection of $1.14 was re
ceived.
Mrs. Ruth Cook was elected
chairman for the Christmas
party at Oak View Nursing
Home on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at
2:30 p.m. The Lyerly club will
furnish cookies for the party.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, at 7
p.m., the Chattooga County
Homemakers will sponsor the
annual 4-H banquet, to be held
in the Summerville Presby
terian Church annex, at which
time the Lyerly Homemakers
will furnish chicken salad.
A tour of Hunt Art Gallery
in Chattanooga will be made
by the clubs of the county on
Monday, Dec. 11, leaving
Goodyear parking lot at 9:15
am.
Another important date for
the Lyerly Homemakers is the
Lyerly Bazaar on Friday, Dec.
15, at the City Hall.
The district Homemakers
meeting will be held Dec. 5 at
Dahlonega. Those attending
will leave the Goodyear park-
