Miss Bobbye Wilson Is
Bride of W. G. Davidson
Miss Bobbye Joan Wilson of
Trion and William Garland
Davidson of Atlanta were
joined in marriage on Oct. 28
at the First Baptist Church of
Trion. The Rev. L. Frank
Welch and the Rev. Grady
Wigley of Marietta officiated at
the ceremony.
The bride, presented by her
father, George Robert Wilson,
wore a bridal gown of ivory
Dulcet satin and reembroidered
peau d’ange lace, featuring an
Empire lace bodice and A-line
skirt with attached chapel
train. The high-neck and long,
full-cuffed sleeves were out
lined by the lace, and a tiny
pearl was in the center of the
lace flowers. The A-line skirt
had appliques, and the at
tached train and skirt were out
lined in the reembroidered
lace.
Her ivory chapel-length,
double-veiled mantilla of
English imported illusion was
edged in reembroidered
Alencon lace and attached to a
Camelot cap. The bridal
bouquet was created in the
shape of her diamond pendant,
designed by the bridegroom.
The bouquet was outlined with
English ivy; the focal point was
three Phalaenopsis orchids,
stephanotis, and two long
stemmed American Beauty
roses.
The church decorations
centered around a lovely cir
cular arrangement of American
Beauty roses, white fuji mums,
and pink carnations. The
arched and spiral candelabra
were covered with roping of
smilax. The family and honor
pews were marked with long
stemmed American Beauty
roses. Fern balls completed the
church decorations.
